Coworth Park, Dorchester Collection’s luxury country house hotel and spa, are seeking a professional, motivated individual who has the passion and experience in handling horses to fulfil the role of the Apprentice NVQ 2 or 3
•To provide the highest level of care and presentation of the horses and unprecedented service levels to our guests
•All aspects of yard work duties including; feed, hay, muck out, turn out, groom, clip and bandage
•Keep the stables, horses and all equipment looking immaculate at all times
•Schooling horses to keep them well trained and exercised daily-Must be an experienced rider
•Prepare them for guests to ride
•Escorting hacks around the estate both on foot or riding
•Welcoming guests in a polite and friendly manner
•Fitting guests with safety equipment before riding
•Teaching guests of the hotel and local clients on our ponies and horses with knowledge, enthusiasm and care for safety at all times (once trained)
Training is with BHS Stage 5 and KEITS/HADDON. Would suit someone wishing to also do BHS Stage exams -Free uniform and meals
Weekend work is required
Single accommodation on site a possibility-No pets
