•To provide the highest level of care and presentation of the horses and unprecedented service levels to our guests
•All aspects of yard work duties including; feed, hay, muck out, turn out, groom, clip and bandage
•Keep the stables, horses and all equipment looking immaculate at all times
•Schooling horses to keep them well trained and exercised daily-Must be an experienced rider
•Prepare them for guests to ride
•Escorting hacks around the estate both on foot or riding
•Welcoming guests in a polite and friendly manner
•Fitting guests with safety equipment before riding
•Teaching guests of the hotel and local clients on our ponies and horses with knowledge, enthusiasm and care for safety at all times (once trained)

Training is with BHS Stage 5 and KEITS/HADDON. Would suit someone wishing to also do BHS Stage exams -Free uniform and meals

Weekend work is required

Single accommodation on site a possibility-No pets

Enthusiastic and competent person required for stud groom duties on National Hunt Stud with mares and foals. Youngster sales preparation. Work riding also available to the right candidate. Full time employment working every 4th weekend. ​

We are a small, friendly yard looking for both full and part time riding instructors/grooms. This is an exciting opportunity to work with horses in a small but busy yard in the centre of London.

The role involves escorting rides, teaching arena lessons and general yard duties.

The ideal candidate will be:
– Experienced working with horses.
– An experienced rider; capable on a variety of horses in all paces and able to lead two horses whilst mounted.
– Qualified with BHS stages and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
– Able to carry out all yard duties ie mucking out, grooming etc.
– Confident teaching adults and children at varying levels of experience.
– Friendly and willing to build a rapport with customers.
– Polite and courteous phone manner/ ability to welcome customers and take bookings.
– Must speak fluent English – additional languages are a bonus.
– Eligible to work in the UK.
– Must weigh under 75kg.

Friendly, adaptable and conscientious person required for 3 eventers, 1 hunter, a retiree and 2/3 children’s ponies. during the summer holidays there will be more help with the ponies. Owner has evented to 5* previously but now has younger horses and still actively competing. Must be capable of all yard duties, clipping, plaiting, pulling to a high standard. Nice horses kept separately on a rehab yard with other staff on site. Excellent facilities and hacking including a water treadmill and spa. I am around most of the time but away 1-2 days a week so you must be capable of hacking out and lunging fit horses. We have a recently refurbished 2 bed accommodation. Car owner essential. 5.5 days per week with Sunday off (unless competing in which case a day in lieu will be given) and a half day mid week to be arranged in advance. Present employee has been here for 3 years and is leaving to join the fire service! ​

Looking for someone to join busy friendly livery yard full time. Open to a groom or an apprentice:

Must be able to do all yard duties to a high standard. Ideally someone who can clip/plait/ride/lunge on occasion.

A large friendly livery yard is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Apprentice to join our team due to our current apprentice sadly finishing her apprenticeship in February.

The position involves normal yard duties plus possibly some riding for the right person.

The hours are 8am-5pm with a morning break and hour for lunch. 5 day week to include weekends. ​

The Equestrian Yard Co-ordinator is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring the highest standards of horse care, team coordination, and student support.

This role oversees the management of approximately 28 riding school horses and 30 student livery horses during term time, while leading a team of grooms and working collaboratively with senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
-Horse Management Welfare
-Oversee the daily care and routines of all horses on site, ensuring high standards at all times.
-Prepare and oversee feeding routines.
-Manage supplies and stock levels.
– Organise and supervise the timely tacking up of horses.
-Act as first point of call for minor injuries or health concerns, administering basic treatment as required.
-Liaise with senior staff and external professionals (e.g. vets, farriers).

Yard Operations:
-Manage daily yard routines to ensure efficiency and consistency
-Conduct field checks and oversee horse rotation and field management
-Maintain yard organisation, cleanliness, and safety standards
-Ensure all equipment and tack is maintained and used correctly

Team Leadership:
-Lead, supervise, and support a team of 5 grooms working on shift patterns
-Plan and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate cover at all times
-Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight for grooms
-Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented working environment
-Student Support Safeguarding

Essential:
– BHS Horse Care Stage 2/3.
– Strong practical previous experience in horse care and yard management
– Proven ability to lead and manage a team
– Excellent organisational and communication skills
– Confident handling a variety of horses in a busy yard environment
– Knowledge of equine health, feeding, and welfare practices ​
