The work is hard but rewarding, you will see physically and emotionally damaged donkeys
returned to good health.
You will learn equine husbandry from the qualified and experienced staff. The successful applicant would be given the opportunity to undertake the Stage One Donkey Care Course.
Job description:
- To load and pull trolleys of hay and straw, fill water buckets and deliver to the
donkey stables. - To empty, clean and refill water drinkers in the yards, stables and paddocks.
- To clean the donkey yards.
- To keep the muck trailer tidy.
- To collect the empty food bowls from the yards and stables.
- To muck out the stables and re-bed with straw.
- To groom donkeys.
- The successful applicant may be asked to help with some fundraising activities i.e.
table top sales.
The position is available as a job share of 5, 4 days or 3 days per week, including a Saturday or Sunday, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
Closing date for applications is Monday 3rd August 2026. A shortlist will be drawn up after the closing date and those candidates will be invited to an interview within 7 days.
Salary will be national living wage according to age.
