PRIVATE DOG NANNY & HOUSEKEEPER ROLE — SURREY
Up to 42,000 per annum | Full-Time | Permanent
We are looking for an exceptional dog personto join a private household in Surrey in a permanent, long-term position.
This could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Care Assistant, Dog Trainer, Professional Pet Carer or experienced Dog Nanny who loves working with animals but would like to move into a quieter, rewarding private-household role.
The dogs are at the heart of this position.
We are looking for someone who genuinely understands dogs — their behaviour, routines, wellbeing and individual personalities — rather than somebody who simply likes taking dogs for walks.
THE DOG-NANNY ROLE
You will take an active role in the dogs’ everyday lives, including:
Walking, exercise and enrichment
Feeding and maintaining established routines
Companionship and supervision
Monitoring general health and wellbeing
Helping with veterinary appointments when required
Maintaining dog bedding, equipment and living areas
Providing confident, calm and affectionate care
Taking responsibility for the dogs when their owners are unavailable
Occasional additional care/house sitting by prior arrangement
AND THE HOUSEHOLD
This is a combined role, so you must also be happy taking responsibility for maintaining a beautiful, well-organised home.
Responsibilities include:
High-standard housekeeping
Laundry, ironing and changing beds
Keeping the home clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained
Helping to manage household supplies
Occasional errands and vet visits
Seeing what needs doing and taking the initiative to do it
You do not necessarily need a traditional private-household background.
We are particularly interested in hearing from outstanding animal-care professionals who are organised, practical and naturally house-proud and who would enjoy transferring those qualities into a private home.

Looking for a stable, long-term position rather than temporary work
Non-smoker
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Recent, independently verifiable professional references will be required.
SALARY
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending upon experience, skills and the agreed responsibilities/hours.
This is a permanent, full-time employed position for the right person.
We are looking for somebody who wants to become a trusted and valued part of the household and, most importantly, someone to whom we can entrust the care of much-loved dogs.
