Clervaux Garden School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Assistant to support students aged 10-
19 with significant social, emotional and educational needs through practical, outdoor learning experiences.
Working as part of our Farm and Gardens Team, you will help deliver a unique land and craft-based curriculum,
supporting students in developing confidence, practical skills and accredited qualifications through meaningful
work on the land
You will be required to:
- Support teaching and learning across the school farm and gardens.
- Work with students in small groups to develop farming, horticulture and animal husbandry skills and delivery of land-based qualifications.
- Assist with the care of a variety of farm animals.
- Support seasonal land-based activities and practical projects.
- Help create engaging learning experiences that build self-esteem, resilience and achievement.
- Work as an active member of the farm and land team
You will have:
- Experience of farming, horticulture, animal care or other land-based activities.
- Experience of working with young people, vulnerable adults, or individuals with additional needs, or a willingness to develop these skills.
- A positive, flexible and professional approach.
- A passion for outdoor learning and helping young people succeed.
- An interest in Biodynamic agriculture and sustainable land management.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake the Ruskin Mill Trust 2 years Biodynamic Training
