We have an exciting opportunity to join Bristol Animal Rescue Centre as a Veterinary
Officer.
Location: Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, 48-50 Albert Road, St Philips, Bristol BS2 0XA
Salary: £39,462.50 – £45,100 PA full time equivalent (pro rata if part-time), dependent on
experience.
Hours per week: 7.5 hours per week (37.5 hrs FTE)

Centre (RSPCA Bristol branch) and we work closely with our adjoining rehoming centre.
Purpose built 100% small animal charity practice (RCVS General Practice accredited) with
great facilities and a good range of equipment (Digital x-ray, ultrasound and lab.)
About the role:
Working hours: 1 day a week ( Friday). NO WEEKENDS, BANK HOLIDAYS OR OOH. The
veterinary team deal with a uniquely interesting and variable caseload:
- Shelter medicine and surgery for onsite rehoming centre
- Outreach service for low-income clients
- Injured/ill strays medicine/surgery
- Wildlife triage
- Welfare casework for the RSPCA Inspectorate
We are looking for an experienced vet (2 years +) to join our friendly team. Our team
consists of 4 RVNs, a nursing assistant, reception staff and 3 other vets. You will also
work closely with staff from our homing centre as well as local RSPCA inspectors.
We offer an excellent work life balance as we work sociable hours with no late finishes. The
usual working day is 8am to 4.30 pm with a 1hour lunch break.
The package:
- Salary range £39,462.50 – £45,100 FTE
