Dorset Wildlife Trust is seeking a practical, enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Warden to work with the West Dorset Warden and West Dorset Reserves team.

You will be a key part in managing and enhancing our West Dorset nature reserves, maintaining infrastructure and equipment, and engaging with visitors.

This is a great opportunity to work on the stunning Kingcombe National Nature Reserve in West Dorset and the surrounding west Dorset nature reserves, with their many varied habitats.

Whilst the focus will be on habitat management, the post is based at Kingcombe Meadows Farm, the centre of the Trust’s organic livestock operation in west Dorset – working with cattle, sheep & ponies.

The role combines the many and varied practical skills of habitat management with ecological monitoring and livestock management, and you will be part of a small but friendly, skilled and vibrant team.

This is a permanent, full time post, based at our Kingcombe Meadows Farm. This role is part of a rota based system to provide for livestock management, and there will be regular weekend working as part of a flexible working arangement.
