Posh Paws is a busy, well-established boutique grooming salon near Clapham Junction, serving a loyal client base across Clapham, Battersea and Wandsworth. We’re known for high standards, a calm environment for the dogs, and genuinely happy customers — and we’re looking for an experienced groomer to take the lead on the floor.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who takes real pride in their work, knows how to handle dogs of all temperaments with patience and care, and can deliver a consistently excellent finish breed after breed.
What you’ll be doing
- Full grooms across a wide range of breeds – bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring and styling to breed standard or owner brief
- Hand-stripping and breed-specific cuts where required
- Reading each dog and adapting your handling to keep them calm and safe
- Talking to owners, understanding what they want, and managing expectations clearly
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, well-run salon and supporting day-to-day standards
What we’re looking for
- At least 3 years’ professional grooming experience
- A recognised grooming qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent) is preferred
- Confident across clipping, scissoring and hand-stripping
- Calm, reliable and great with both dogs and people
- Someone who cares about the welfare of every dog that comes through the door

- £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience
