Cornwall Canine Care is looking for a Part-Time Animal Carer to join our friendly team at our St Erth site, covering maternity leave. 

What we can offer: 

• 1 guaranteed 10-hour shift every week
• Opportunity for additional hours when available
• Work available Monday to Saturday
• Pay: National Minimum Wage

IMPORTANT – THIS IS AN OUTDOOR ROLE! 

Our facility is approximately 90% outdoors, so you must be happy working outside in all weather conditions. 

Rain, wind, sunshine, cold, mud… we’re out there!  

This is a very active role, so it’s definitely not a position for someone who wants to spend their working day indoors! 

The role involves: 

• Caring for and supervising our day-care dogs
• Making sure all dogs are safe, happy and well cared for
• Providing exercise, play and enrichment
• Feeding and attending to the dogs’ individual needs
• Cleaning and maintaining the day-care environment
• Working outdoors with dogs throughout the day
• Working as part of a small, friendly team
• Helping to maintain our high standards of dog care and welfare 

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Has a genuine love and passion for dogs
• Is reliable, hardworking and responsible
• Is confident around dogs of different sizes and personalities
• Is genuinely happy working outdoors in ALL weather conditions
• Doesn’t mind getting muddy, wet and messy!
• Is physically active and enjoys a hands-on role
• Can work well as part of a team
• Is calm, patient and attentive
• Has previous relevant experience.
