We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and committed Kennel Assistant to join our team.
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Days: 5 days per week, including one weekend day
Pay: Minimum wage
The Role
This is a hands-on position caring for dogs and maintaining a clean, safe environment for them.
Duties include:
- Cleaning kennels and corridors thoroughly
- Feeding dogs
- General cleaning and kennel duties
- Helping maintain high standards of hygiene
- Working around dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments
What We Expect
A high level of commitment is required and expected.
Our dogs depend on us every day, so reliability and excellent timekeeping are essential. Applicants must understand that animal care is a 7-day-a-week responsibility and the dogs still need looking after regardless of weekends, bad weather or how busy the day may be.
You must be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable with physical and sometimes dirty work
- Confident working around dogs
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Prepared to work one weekend day every week
- Genuinely committed to the role
Previous kennel or animal-care experience would be an advantage, but a strong work ethic, reliability and commitment are extremely important to us.
