We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Farm Assistant to join our team at White Elm Petting Farm.
The role is for Sundays, Mondays, Thursday and Fridays (approx. 8am to 4pm). plus potential for extra shift cover.
This role is a physical role and will involve everyday tasks, including:
- General animal care and husbandry
- Feeding animals
- Cleaning and maintaining enclosures
- General farm maintenance
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Manual handling and lifting
This candidate will also be expected to spend a large amount of the day helping customers to interact and get close to our animals. The role will include providing farm tours and talks for children’s parties.
The individual should have at least 2 years practical experience of working with animals (including the ability to treat animals to prevent disease) and be happy to get stuck in to the job in all weather conditions.
